I had a doctor’s appointment in the afternoon. No major progress, biologically. But Dr. McCarthy “stripped my membranes” (seriously, why do so many pregnancy things sound so gross?). It’s supposed to be a sort of natural labor inducer IF your body and the baby are ready to go.

It definitely brought on some painful pain. Whooo! cramping galore. And turning over at night was excruciating. What it hasn’t done (so far) is induce labor.

We also made an appointment for next Friday at 8 am to start an induction. So, worst case scenario, BB2 will arrive May 4. Dr. McCarthy says she thinks he’ll come sooner, though. I hope so… but hey, a week isn’t really that long and then my mom can be here. She hasn’t seen any of the babies born yet.
